Our Beliefs
The Word of God
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings, complete as the revelation of God's Will for salvation, preserved through careful transmission, and the supreme and final authority in all matters to which they speak.
Translations of the Bible
We currently use the King James Bible and feel that it is the best translation available to English speakers today. We do not belittle other translations as evil or Satanic. God does not limit the ability of people to seek him depending on the translation that they use.
The Trinity
We believe in one God, Creator and sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; that these are equal in every divine perfection, and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption.
The Father
We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom and love. We believe He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He delivers from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is God's Eternal Son, and has precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections as God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. We believe further that He is not only true God, but also true man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
We also believe in His sinless life, His substitutionary death for sin, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into Heaven, His priestly ministry on behalf of His people, and His personal, visible, and pre-millennial return from Heaven.
Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, His personality, and His work in regeneration, sanctification, and preservation in the work of salvation.
We believe His ministry is to glorify Jesus Christ, to empower Christ's work of redemption on behalf of the lost, and to fit and energize the saved for service and godly living.
Man
We believe God created man, male and female, in the image of God and free from sin. We believe that man is a sinner by nature and choice, and is spiritually dead.
We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates those who believe the gospel of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, repent of sin, and trust Christ as their savior.
Salvation
We believe in salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe this salvation is based upon the sovereign grace of God, that it was purchased by Christ on the cross, and is received by man through faith, apart from any human merit, works, or ritual.
We believe that true salvation results in righteous living, good works, and proper social conduct.
The Church
We believe that the church is the spiritual body of Christ, who is our head. We believe the true church is made up of all persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. We believe this is expressed through local assemblies whose members have been immersed in believer's baptism upon a credible confession of faith, and have united themselves for worship, service to Christ, instruction in right living, and evangelism. We believe the church has ordinances of believer's baptism by immersion, and the Lord's Supper.
We believe in the independence of the local church and the mutual submission of the believers to each other in love.
End Times
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost, in the eternal existence of all men, either in Heaven or the Lake of Fire, in divine judgements, rewards, and punishments.
